Our sweet Owen turned THREE on October 1st!! How is our baby three years old already!? It's just not right how quickly time goes by.
A couple of weeks before Owen's birthday, I took some pictures of him at my parent's house in Riverton. I realize I have way too many in this post, but I just couldn't narrow them down!

Owen's birthday!! 10.1.17
In the morning, Brad and I let Owen open his gift from us! A Mack truck from Cars (one of his favorite movies ever). He was so excited. A couple of weeks before while we were in Las Vegas with family, he was able to open his gifts from Gigi & Pop pop, Aunty Jess & Uncle Ca, & The Calvert's! He was thrilled to get a Huge Lightning McQueen car from my parents, practically a whole new wardrobe from Gymboree from Aunty Jess & Uncle Ca & a paw patrol airplane from Aunty Amanda, Uncle Mikal, Andrew & Ellie! Grammy & Grandpa Earl were also nice enough to send Owen a "time to wake up clock" for his birthday! Works like a charm ;)
Owen also got another surprise package from Gigi & Pop pop which had a set of dump truck pj's & his very own personalized Mater birthday shirt!!
Owen's birthday fell on General Conference weekend so we got to stay home that day :) Which worked out great for potty training that weekend!
That night, we invited the Dawson's over to help celebrate with cake & ice cream! Owen was thrilled with his Lightning McQueen & Mater cake and even let us sing Happy Birthday to him this year! (quietly though ;) )
Levi & Krew were such nice friends and even brought Owen a birthday present! They hit the jackpot with Chase from Paw Patrol.

Owen's Year in Review
This year was a big one for Owen!! This three year old is so long/lean & strong! On 10.5.17 he was 41 inches (+97%) and 37.4 pounds (92%). He is such an athletic little kid and good at everything he tries. Owen was featured on multiple websites for his golfing videos like:

We actually have no idea who posted this video on ellenNation! But someone (a friend of a friend) had seen a video of Owen on my Facebook page and commented that she saw Owen's video on ellenNation that same day!
People Are Awesome July 28, 2017
Someone from Jukin media had reached out to me asking to use this video of Owen hitting a golf ball into Brad's mouth on their People Are Awesome page. We actually hadn't even realized they ended up using the video until one of Brad's friends messaged him about it! They actually used it twice: once in a normal compilation and then again in a "best of the first half of 2017" compilation!

This particular video currently has 532 million views with 4.7 million likes. Crazy that Owen & Brad are a part of it!!

The article is titled Miracle mini-golfer and says "Two-year-old Owen Earl, from Glendale, Arizona, could be a golfing great in the making on the evidence of this clip. Owen was filmed in February by his mother, Julianna, driving a ball to his dad, Brad, who caught it in his mouth.
Julianna said: "They had only tried it a handful of times that night before I had pulled out my phone to record it. And the video I captured was the first time they had actually gotten it. Owen is a pretty good aim for a two-year-old."

Owen & Brad even attracted the attention of the senior producer of Steve Harvey's new show, Steve: Talk about Funny for their video of Owen hitting the golf ball into Brad's mouth! She set up a FaceTime call with us and everything. Spoiler alert: nothing ever came of it, but we still think it's so cool that she was even interested in the first place!

Owen is such a sweet & sensitive little boy and a huge mama's boy (which I love). Even at his age, he's still willing to cuddle with me and give me endless hugs & kisses.
