Utah for the week

September 6th-15th, 2017

After a fun few days in Las Vegas, we drove to my parents house in Utah. Brad and I got to go to the BYU football game while we there and the boys and I stayed to visit longer so Brad could get back and study for boards.

Brad and I took Owen to this little indoor amusement park while my mom babysat Madden. Owen had a blast except for the small (extremely fast) roller coaster I put him on. He had a look of pure terror the entire time and luckily I was able to get him off before they had the ride go backwards. The rest of the time we were there, he kept pointing to the ride and saying "I no want to go on that." #momfail

I'm not sure how I got roped into riding the spinning ride...but I did. Multiple times.

Owen on the bumper cars was absolutely hilarious. He spun in circles the majority of the time.

Brad and I thought it would be fun to take Owen to the BYU bookstore one day. He mostly just ran around grabbing every ball he could find and yelling and pointing "Cougars!" President Worthen (president of BYU) happened to be standing in the background of that first picture. Also, Owen got to taste the goodness of the BYU Creamery chocolate milk and he managed to get it pretty much everywhere.

Karissa comes to visit! 9.8.17
One of my best friends from Pittsburgh and BYU roommates, Karissa Bell (Gardner) came over to visit one night and play Code Names with us. It was so good to see her and so fun for all of our boys to meet. Her little Anderson is the cutest!

Even though BYU ended up losing to Utah, it was still fun to go back and cheer them on. It would have been even better if they had won. 

But on the bright side, Brad ate an entire Cougar Tail by himself so, there's that.

Brad's last day in Utah 9.10.17

Since Brad flew out the next morning, I did everything in my power to get a family picture of us taken before he left. I think I'm so proud of this one because the odds were against me. Owen hadn't napped, Madden was teething & pretty miserable and Brad never wants to take pictures. But we somehow got a semi-decent one! I have another post with more family pictures that my sister snapped of us but here's the best one we got :)

My sister's dog, Ziva, gets tired on walks very quickly so I ended up putting her in the bottom of the stroller. Can you say spoiled?

Thanksgiving Point Farm
My sister Jess and I took Owen to the Thanksgiving Point farm where he had a blast. He rode horses, went on a tractor ride, and got to pet some animals. He loves this place.

After a fun time in Utah, we braved the horrible weather and drove back down to Las Vegas where we celebrated Ellie's, Amanda's & even Owen's birthdays. 

The kids did great in the car and Owen was so excited to get back to EE and Andrew's house again!
