Las Vegas for Labor Day weekend

September 3rd-5th, 2017

We thought it would be fun to spend Labor Day weekend in Las Vegas before driving up to Utah to visit family and go to the BYU football game. We normally just stop for the night in Vegas on our drives to Utah so we were excited to actually stay and hang out with both of our sisters. Owen was also thrilled to have a few days of playing time with his cousins!

Passing around baby Madden :)

Movie time in their PJ's
I love the picture on the right of Ellie holding Owen. While they were watching Secret Life of Pets, she just said "Owen, do you want to sit on my lap?" and he excitedly answered "yeah!!"

Mt. Charleston for Labor Day

On Monday, we decided to visit Mt. Charleston. Brad and I had never been and were surprised with how green and pretty it was. When we first got there, we went on a little hike. Owen wanted to hold Aunt Amanda's hand the entire time :) He loves his aunties.

Lee Canyon
After our hike, we went to Lee Canyon for lunch. We enjoyed each other's company but not so much the service. Two words: understaffed & underwhelmed.

Running around and playing tag
After lunch, we stopped in a big open field and let the kids run around and get even more energy out. The trees were beautiful and the view was gorgeous!

Matching Halloween jammies
I have to give credit to Aunty Jess because she is the one who makes our matching holiday jammie pictures possible every year. I love it and so do all of the kids. Except Madden. He wasn't impressed.

Hash House a go-go
On Tuesday morning, we met Kacey and her 3 youngest at Hash House a go-go for breakfast. I absolutely love this place. If you've never been, make it a priority to go! The portions are huge and it is SO good.

Bass Pro Shops
After breakfast, we took the kids to Bass Pro Shops to look at the fish and play. Free entertainment at its finest.

Madden hanging out with dad (who was studying for boards on his phone. That's what I call being a good father!)

Watching a caterpillar and eating slushies

The Strip
On our last night there, we took the boys downtown to show Owen the Mirage fire show and the Bellagio fountain show. The fountain show was a hit. The fire show, not so much.

We loved spending some time in Vegas and seeing some of our favorite people!!
