Las Vegas & Our Trip to Zion

Our trip to Las Vegas to say goodbye to Kendall!
Brad and I made our way to Las Vegas the first weekend of April to see Kendall off before she left for Baton Rouge, Louisiana!

Here are some pictures and videos of our weekend! (mainly of Asher)

Asher "winning" at hot potato

This kid cracks me up. He sang "Everything is Awesome" from the Lego movie all weekend.

Goodbye Kendall!!

Zion National Park

Brad and I started the summer off right by heading to Zion National Park the morning after he finished finals. Our first stop was in Las Vegas where we surprised my parents for a few hours. After spending some quality time with my family, Brad and I met up with the Nielsen's to enjoy a fantastic school play that Scarlet was in. After the play, it was time to hit the road to Zion!

We all squeezed in the Suburban and watched some thrilling episodes of Bubble Guppies to pass the time.

Once we arrived, we unpacked and "set up camp." Brad and I somehow managed to score a king sized bed to sleep in, in a house not even 5 minutes from the park. There are definitely perks to being pregnant.

The next morning, we woke up and ate some delicious breakfast burritos and sent the men off to hike Subway. They were gone for about 8 hours, so Kacey, Courtney, me and the kids spent some quality time playing soccer, skipping rocks in the stream, and exploring the park.

We decided that "hiking" Weeping Rock seemed easy enough with four kids, so that's what we did. Here are some nature shots of the kids.
The log was a lot higher than it looks. Crazy kids

The guys returned from their hike later that day and we ended the day with eating some delicious ribs & hot dogs for dinner, making s'mores, and watching the movie The Book Thief.

The next day was filled with even more adventure. We started the day off with hiking Angel's Landing which was beautiful! Here are a bunch of pictures of the hike.

Baby bumps! Courtney and I are about 7 weeks apart!

The Nielsen Family. Kacey carried Jude in a sling the whole way and Jon carried Asher on his back up and down the mountain. Scarlet and Rhode put us all to shame on the hike.

Cooling down in the river after the hike. This was moments before Asher stripped completely naked.

Before leaving the park, we made one last stop to visit Court of the Patriarchs. It was beautiful!

We ended the trip by driving to St. George to swim, hot tub and stuff our faces with pizza.

Before heading back to Phoenix, Brad and I stopped at my sister's house to spend Sunday afternoon with my family.

The girls!
